It is an integrated part of the general management policy of North Kent Cleaning Services (hereafter referred to as the Company), to secure, as far as practicable, the health, safety and welfare of its employees at work, also to the same degree the health and safety of others affected by its operations.
It is the responsibility of the proprietor, managers and supervisors equal to any other that they carry out:

  • Secure a healthy and safe workplace and working environment to all employees in premises under direct control
  • Collaborate with clients and sub-contractors to secure healthy and safe conditions of work and suitable welfare provision for employees and sub –contractors on premises not under the Company control; and to ensure that other parties are not put at risk through the organisation’s activities

All steps will be taken, as far as practicable, to meet Health and Safety responsibilities in:

  • The provision of safe plant, equipment and systems of work.
  • Safe arrangements for the use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances.
  • Information, instructions, training and supervision to enable employees to recognise hazards and contribute positively to their own safety and health at work and to the safety and health of others
  • The maintenance of places of work in a condition that is safe and without risk to health including means of access and departure.
  • The provisions of facilities and arrangements for welfare at work for all employees.
